+The Celestron Labs CB2000C Compound Binocular Microscope has a huge number of high end features that will make your time at the microscope more successful and more enjoyable. The CB2000C comes with an adjustable binocular head, coaxial focuser with integrated coarse and fine focus knobs, a fully mechanical stage, halogen lighting, and an Abbe condenser with an iris diaphragm. The CB2000C is a serious microscope for users of all levels, because even if you’re a beginner, there’s nothing wrong with doing it right the first time.
40x - 2000x magnification
The CB2000C comes with a pair of 10x WF and a 20X WF eyepieces. Each set of eyepieces will provide different magnifications when paired with the four objective lenses assembled in a classic rotating turret. The 10x wide field eyepieces come with a pointer to help other observers zero in on the most important aspects of the specimen. Enjoy eight magnification choices that include 40x, 80x, 100x, 200x, 400x, 800x, 1000x and 2000x.
Binocular viewing - your eyes will thank you
Most people enjoy the comfort that a binocular microscope offers. Using both eyes allows them to relax into an observing session, and may allow you to see more detail. Also, a binocular microscope, in general, handles magnifications of over 1000x better than a similar microscope with a monocular head. The binocular head on the CB2000C microscope allows for interpupillary distance adjustments as well as diopter adjustments on both eyepieces.
Coaxial focus adjustments
A coaxial focuser provides both course and fine focus mechanisms on the same knob. The large outer knob is for making coarse focus adjustments, and the smaller central knob allows you to make fine focus adjustments. Fine focus is especially helpful when you are working with magnifications of 400x or more. At high magnifications, it can be difficult to achieve focus without the use of a fine focus mechanism.
Halogen lighting and Abbe NA 1.25 condenser
The Celestron CB2000C Binocular Microscope provides perfect illumination thanks its NA 1.25 Abbe condenser and iris diaphragm, which allow to you to control and concentrate bright, white Halogen light on your specimens. You can easily adjust brightness, contrast, depth of field, and the evenness of illumination by controlling the distance between the Abbe condenser and objective or by adjusting the condenser’s iris diaphragm, which controls the diameter of the light beam.
Mechanical stage for perfect positioning of your subject
A fully adjustable mechanical stage is one of the upgraded features on the CB2000C microscope from Celestron Labs. The stage is 5.5 inches square, providing plenty of working room, and adjustable stage holders keep the specimen in place. Stage movement knobs make up, down, left, or right movements to the stage, allowing you to center your prepared slide perfectly over the opening.
This compound binocular microscope is made of metal for heavy-duty performance. Accessories include an AC power cord, three colored filters to help increase the contrast of your specimens, a small bottle of immersion oil, and ten prepared slides in a storage box.
