Product Details

The Orion U-Mount offers a very solid platform for your large binocular, small telescope or even spotting scope, whether you are star gazing or viewing terrestrial objects. It boasts some key feature distinctions which make it stand out from the crowd.  No matter where your telescope or binocular is pointed, the U-Mount always keeps your equipment balanced, yielding incredibly stable views. The swept-back side arms allow equipment to point at any angle from just below the horizon to all the way up to 90-degree elevation, as well as full 360-degree azimuth rotation.

Included with this mount is 1.25-20" adapter, meaning that binoculars and spotting scopes with the standard sized mounting socket on the bottom can attach to this no problem. Then, on the bottom of the U-Mount itself, there is a 3/8-16" socket, along with a 1.25-20" insert. What this means is that the U-Mount can attach to virtually all photographic tripods, so long as your tripod will support the 11lb weight of this mount without issues.

This mount is constructed of aluminum and provides extremely smooth motions through both altitude and azimuth axes. With the ability to hold 25lbs, this mount is capable of supporting a wide variety of camera, binocular, and telescope setups.

  • Lightweight mount with heavy load capacity
  • No counterweights necessary
  • Attaches to any standard connection tripod, camera, binocular, or telescope
